    Going Charitable

    Post By:

Vinyl Revinyl is a website that promotes vinyl records and the appreciation of music.

This December, we have decided to donate 100% (ALL) of our profits to charities that promote music education in public schools.

This is the first time Vinyl Revinyl has done any philanthropy and I’m very excited!!

    Why?

    1. Music makes the world a better place
    2. Funding for creative education in public schools is being cut.
    3. Music education has been linked to all kinds of good stuff. Watch the video above, or check out this link for some awesome research done in this field.
    4. Music education is good for kids who are less academic, and may otherwise drop out of school.
    5. I want there to be more good music in the world.
    6. Music is one of the great joys in life.

    Charities:
I haven’t decided which charity (or charities) I will donate to yet. Let me know which charities you think I should donate to below!

    How it will work:
In short, Vinyl Revinyl has expenses related to the operation of the website, including web hosting fees and bandwidth, plus costs related to getting content developed. We will subtract all of these expenses from the revenue the website brings in, then donate it.

    What to Do:

    1. You can purchase vinyl records, record players, accessories, etc. through Vinyl Revinyl. Every sale earns a commission that I will donate.
    2. You can also purchase ANY OTHER ITEM on eBay – Simply use the link on the top of the page (Can’t miss it!!) before purchasing on eBay.
    3. Another thing I really need is for you to help me decide on a music charity to help! I have placed a little vote below. I would appreciate your vote very much!!

    Do you represent a charity?

Please get in touch with me personally!

I am most interested in charities with low overhead, and have a decent network of people or organizations it can help. I would also like to hear from organizations that work with underprivileged kids.
