When speaking to one another in person (live) this would certainly be called sound waves or a better term analogue form.Taking that or any other musical passages recorded direct to disc (mother stamper) then transferred to a number limited of lp's is the most ultimate way of hearing music .(beside attending a live concert in the right setting).I totally wasted about $8.000.00 from 1984-1998 on CD players,
separate dacs, DVD audio players, etc. The biggest mistake
that I made in life (beside picking-up a cigarette) was selling
my Linn Sondek LP turntable in 1984. Although today there
are so many incredible sounding turntables $$$ I currently own a en-expensive Rega P1 and could not be more satisfied.
When playing 45rpm (some 7") and 12" records , they literally
stomp any digital format that I have ever heard! Remember
earlier what I said about sound waves. Why take a recording
and mix it,match it, digitize it, regurgitate it, re-mix it and final
digitation. CD's SUCK!!!
