Rap may not be to everyone's taste, but it is an important musical innovation. While it's true that there is a lot of rap music with little value, it's also true that there are some excellent rap albums with unique musical ideas and important social messages.

Remind me again as to why we have to thank African American people for rap? If anything we should be asking them to take it back from whence it came.

Always play your records with the dust cover down. Occasionally use a diskwasher or the equivalent with the proper fluid to remove any foreign material that might be accumulating on the grooves such as hair. Common sense goes a long way.

Have been spinning licorice pizza for the better part of 45 years and my records, for the most part, are still in pristine condition.

My List
1.Dark Side of the Moon
2.Animals
3.The Wall
4.Wish You were Here
5.Meddle
6.Piper at The Gates of Dawn

Pink Floyd fans need not be so stuffy about The Wall. Listen to it again. Commercial success doesnt take away from the genius of this album. DSOTM is one of the top 5 albums ever made. Pompeii version of Echoes may be the single greatest rock song ever. There are novice Floyd fans out there who have never heard Echoes - think about that!

So true your comments about Billy Ritchie; but for him, there would be no Emerson or Wakeman or Yes or ELP or King Crimson. Thanks to Bowie for highlighting an almost forgotten talent.
