As one of the many musicals written by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Flower Drum Song is one of the most unique as one of the only mostly Asian cast musicals to hit Broadway. Opened in 1958, Flower Drum Song was extremely successful garnering six Tony Award nominations and spawning a London production, a musical film and national tours. The latest revival was in 2002 when it came to Broadway again showing everyone exactly what it was so well known for in the original. The music in Flower Drum Song is extremely moving as can be heard with such songs as “A Hundred Million Miracles” and “I Enjoy Being a Girl.” These songs and more from Flower Drum Song sound amazing on vinyl as well as in the musical itself.
