    Rent is a popular rock musical based on Giacomo Puccini’s opera La Boheme. As young artists and musicians struggling in New York City, the musical first came out in 1994. With songs like “La Vie Boheme” and “Seasons of Love” it was an instant hit with fans. Winning a Pulitzer Prize, the musical quickly moved from off-Broadway to Broadway less than two years after it opened. There it won a Tony Award for Best Musical and continued to amaze fans. Listening to the musical soundtrack of Rent on vinyl is a wonderful way to experience the incredible music of Rent.
