  • Cookin’ With The Miles Davis Quintet

In the year 1956, Miles Davis recorded an album entitled “Cookin with the Miles Davis Quintet”. During the 11th of May and the 26th of October in 1956, Miles Davis had two sessions. These sessions produced four albums. The first one was this album, Cookin with the Miles Davis Quintet. The following three albums of this mini-series were Relaxin with the Miles Davis Quintet, Steamin with the Miles Davis Quintet and Workin with the Miles Davis Quintet. Part of this album would be Miles Davis on trumpet, John Coltrane on tenor saxophone, Philly Joe Jones on drums, Paul Chambers on bass and Red Garland on piano. The tracks on this album came from the session they had during October, except for the last track. “Just Squeeze Me” came from a session during November 1955.
