  • Round About Midnight

    Round About Midnight was released in March 1957 by jazz musician Miles Davis. Named after the Thelonious Monk song “Round Midnight” his debut album on Columbia Records is widely considered as one of the greatest jazz albums of all time. The album was released in 2001 on compact disc by Sony on its Columbia/Legacy label remastered with bonus tracks and master takes from the initial sessions. Round About Midnight was released as a two-disc, as part of Sony’s Legacy Edition series in 2005 featuring the 2001 edition with a second disc containing his 1955 Newport Jazz Festival performance of Round Midnight together with a 1956 recording of the quintet’s set from the Pacific Jazz Festival.
