Live at the Jazz Workshop by Thelonious Monk is a live album recording which took place in 1964. It was recorded during two shows at the Monterey Jazz Festival near San Francisco. The album was first released in 1982 by Columbia Records. The release of a double-LP came shortly after Monk's death in 1982 and nearly 20 years after being locked away in Columbia's vault. A CD was eventually released in 2001 under the name Live at the Jazz Workshop - Complete. The 2001 release features several bonus tracks, and ended up being nearly doubled in length compared to the previous LP version.
