A Nightmare on Elm Street is the first film in the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. Based on the serial child murderer named Freddy Krueger, the Nightmare series were extremely popular in the 1980’s. With the popularity of the film, many songs made it to the various soundtracks as well as music videos of the same name. One song in particular “Are You Ready For Freddy?” became hugely popular and even had critics enjoying it. “Freddy’s Favorites” even charted when it first came out, and now hearing it on vinyl will really bring back the grotesque and almost sinister feeling of the movies.
