As one of the most popular Walt Disney animated films, The Lion King was released in 1994. What was most notable about The Lion King is the music that really grabbed the audiences. Containing songs written by Elton John and Tim Rice, as well as others, the soundtrack reached number one on the Billboard 200 charts when it was first released. Many of the songs sound truly amazing on vinyl, especially songs such as “Circle of Life” and “Hakuna Matata.” The Lion King soundtrack even went 10 times platinum in 1995 and won several awards for the beautiful music.
