Peter Gabriel, an English born musician and songwriter, was first known as the lead singer of Genesis. His solo career proved to be just as great for him though with songs like “Shock the Monkey” and “Sledgehammer.” Peter Gabriel was also known for his help in pioneering digital distribution methods for music, as well as his unique music videos on MTV. He was very well known for his song “In Your Eyes” which was a huge pop culture hit from the movie “Say Anything” with John Cusack. Peter Gabriel was well known all over the world, but he is still best heard on vinyl.
