This 2-speed (33 and 45RPM), direct drive turntable includes a linear tracking arm which traces the sound grooves on the record linearly in the same way that the master cutting machine cuts the grooves in the first place. This allows for playback with limited, if not zero, harmonic distortion. In addition, the PL L1000 includes auto-return, quick repeat, stylus pressure direct readout, cueing device and free stop hinges. Other features of the PL L1000 are as follows:
