“Images 1966-1967” is a great compilation album by David Bowie.  Released by Decca Records, this album is comprised of his first long player release as a solo artist which was released in 1967.  Mostly orchestral with sound effects that were created in the recording studio, the theme of the album is somewhat like a London Cabaret which influenced Bowie immensely early in his career.  Including songs such as “When I live My Dream” and “Rubber Band”, it was not initially released in the UK or the US until Bowie had his breakthrough album “Ziggy Stardust.”  At that point, it was packaged into this double album set and then released under Decca label London Records in 1972.  It was released at the same time “Aladdin Sane” came out which was for the purpose of cashing in on Bowie’s growing popularity in the US.
