  • Santa Monica ’72

Recorded at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in October of 1972, David Bowie’s live album “Santa Monica ‘72” was recorded during the Ziggy Stardust tour.  For more than 20 years it was only available as a bootleg album until it was officially released in 1995.  Featuring many different songs than the Ziggy Stardust – The Motion Picture, the Santa Monica live album is considered quite superior both in sound quality and standard of vocals and playing.  Before it was officially released critics already raved about it calling it the best live album Bowie ever made.  It featured songs such as “Changes” and “Hang on to Yourself” which weren’t heard very often in concert, making this album a must have for David Bowie collectors.
