Alanis Morissette
When Canadian singer Alanis Morissette released her first international album, Jagged Little Pill, in 1995, it felt revolutionary. The scathing lyrics of alt-rocker “You Oughta Know” and string of hit singles (“Ironic,” “All I Really Want,” “Hand in My Pocket,” “You Learn,” “Head over Feet”) dominated the charts for over a year and made Jagged Little Pill one of the top-selling albums of the decade. Though she never replicated this record’s success over the course of her next five studio albums, she has remained a force to be reckoned with in music – and on vinyl.
