  • Interpol

The most successful band to emerge from the 2000s’ post-punk revival scene, Interpol went from New York City indie-rock act to acclaimed international touring band. Often compared to Joy Division and the Psychedelic Furs on account of its dark atmospherics, singer Paul Banks’ moody baritone, and the intricately harmonized guitars of Banks and Daniel Kessler, Interpol could easily be mistaken for a UK band. It first earned critical acclaim with its 2002 debut, Turn on the Bright Lights – considered by many to be one of the best albums of not just 2002 but the entire decade, and re-affirmed this with its follow-up Antics (2004), Our Love to Admire (2007), and Interpol (2010). You’re going to want to hear this band on vinyl.
