Hair
As one of the most well known musicals, Hair is a rock musical that not only thrilled audiences but many of the songs became anthems for the anti-Vietnam War movement. A real culture revolution of the 1960’s, Hair caused controversy but really opened the eyes of the theater goers about what really was going on. Opening on Broadway in 1967, Hair was incredibly successful, running for 1.750 performances. Several of the songs became Top 40 hits, and a movie adaptation was made as well. With over 30 songs from the musical it is hard to choose which sounds the best on vinyl. Some of the choices are “Aquarius,” “Three-Five-Zero-Zero,” and “Let the Sun Shine In.”
