Little Shop of Horrors
As a rock musical, Little Shop of horrors is one of the popular of all time. Composed by Alan Menken, Little Shop of Horrors is about a nerdy florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood. The music has a distinct rock and roll and doo wop feel mixed in with a little early Motown. Some of the best songs of the musical are “Skid Row” and “Suddenly Seymour” as well as the title of the soundtrack “Little Shop of Horrors.” The music has been performed all over the world and has become quite popular with community theatre and high school groups around the world as well but now you can hear the songs themselves on vinyl.
