Ralph Vaughan Williams is an amazing English composer of symphonies, opera, choral music, chamber music and film scores. His first publication, “Linden Lea” was one of his best but he didn’t stop there. He continued to mix composition with conducting and music editing. You can hear many of his collections of English folk songs on vinyl which he helped to develop and incorporate into his own music. He raised appreciation of folk songs and melodies which made him so popular in his time.
