Beastie Boys
The Beastie Boys started out as a punk band in the late 1970’s, but began incorporating the hip hop sound into their punk sound. Little did the Beastie Boys know that this marriage of rock and hip-hop would prove to be highly influential to several groups in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. Having pioneered the rock/hip-hop genre, the Beastie Boys have gone on to being nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their bassy, funky, rocky music sounds so much fuller on vinyl. Why do you think DJs still swear by vinyl?
