Ben Webster

Ben Webster, also known as “The Brute” was a highly influential jazz tenor saxophonist. As one of the three major swing tenors, Ben Webster had a distinctive raspy and brutal tone on stomps but yet play ballads with warmth such as on “The Soul of Ben Webster.” Playing with many of the jazz greats, Ben Webster is considered to be one of the best jazz tenor saxophonists in history.
