First Meditations
First Meditations by john Coltrane was released on September 2, 1965 under the record label GRP Records. The album is the quartet version of the suite called Meditations that was released about two months after First Meditations was released. We hear John Coltrane on the saxophone and McCoy Tyner on piano. Elvin Jones can be heard on drums and Jimmy Garrison on bass. Enjoy heaven on earth through their simple, but soul evoking tunes. The first track is already enough to get you to buy the entire CD. The rest of the album is sheer beauty, which would make you listen to them over and over again.
