This great jazz album, Thelonious Alone in San Francisco, includes such amazing songs as “Ruby, My Dear”, which displays Thelonious’ wonderful reflexes and grand timing, and “Blue Monk”. The jazz album Thelonious Alone in San Francisco was originally released in stores in October of 1959 under the record label OJC. Thelonious recorded this album single handedly in 1959 live at the Fugazi Hall. He recorded these 10 songs within two days with great enthusiasm and gusto.
