  • Joss Stone

The Grammy-winning English singer-songwriter Joss Stone has been turning heads with her vintage soul sound since the release of her multi-platinum debut, The Soul Sessions, in 2003 – when she was only 16. While this album featured reinterpretations of classic soul songs, revealing the influence of American soul and R&B icons like Aretha Franklin on Stone’s style, its 2004 follow-up, Mind Body & Soul, displayed Stone’s own songwriting chops. The album not only yielded her biggest hit to date in “You Had Me,” it made Stone the youngest female in history to top the UK Albums Chart when it debuted at No.1. As her records continue to rule the charts, Stone’s raw talent has found her sharing the stage with James Brown and Stevie Wonder, collaborating with Herbie Hancock, Patti LaBelle, and Mick Jagger, making cameos on records by Ringo Starr, Jeff Beck, and Tower of Power, and most recently joining Jagger, Eurythmics guitarist Dave Stewart, Damian Marley, and Indian musician A.R. Rahman in the supergroup SuperHeavy.
