  • Another Side of Bob Dylan

Stepping away from his usual folk music that Dylan had then been famous for, “Another Side of Bob Dylan” was just that; a break from his more traditional compositions.  For this album, Dylan looked past the politics and went deep within himself for inspiration.  Along with influences from the growing fame of the Beatles and the assassination of JFK, Dylan produced one of his most rhythmical albums yet which included the song “Chimes of Freedom” which was much more poetic than musical when he first wrote it.  His life was also changing to include his newfound fame which in turn inspired songs such as “All I Really Want to Do” and “Spanish Harlem Incident” which were written during a trip through Europe.
