    Louis Jordan

As a pioneer of jazz, blues, and R&B, Louis Jordan was a remarkable musician, songwriter and bandleader who was hugely popular in between the 1930’s and the 1950’s. Called the “King of the Jukebox” Louis Jordan was popular with a variety of audiences including the swing fans as well. As one of the greatest artists of all time, Rolling Stone Magazine ranked him at number 59, but it was his ability to crossover during such a period of segregation that really makes him one of the greats. With songs such as “Is You Is Or Is You Ain’t My Baby” and more than a dozen other top charting hits, Louis Jordan is still one of the best today and he sounds incredible on vinyl.
