Bela Bartok, a famed Hungarian composer and pianist, is still considered one of the greatest composers of the 20th century. His works were considered to be as isolated as he was and with only the rarest of performances his music was native mostly to Hungary until his death. It is his folk music that is most well known for. His classical music style had hints of Arabian tones and pre-gypsy music.
