Franz Liszt
Franz Liszt was an Austrian-Hungarian composer who certainly was known for many things, but most notably as being the greatest pianist in history. As a composer Liszt was one of the most prominent of the “New German School” and inspired many people of his time to join the movement towards classical music. With works from nearly all musical genres his most famous pieces are “The Hungarian Rhapsodies” which now appear as a set of nineteen amazing pieces that should absolutely be heard on vinyl. This gypsy music, although not a true recreation of Hungarian folk music, showcases his roots and values.
