Serge Prokofiev
As one of the greatest Russian composers of the 20th century, Sergei Prokofiev mastered numerous musical genres of his time. His lively music achieved great popularity when he mixed both modern and traditional elements into his classical music. His important works included seven symphonies, most notably his First, “The Classical Symphony.” He was also known for operas including “The Gambler” which should be heard on vinyl to really appreciate.
