  • Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton has deservedly been crowned “The Queen of Country Music.” A true music legend, she has had 26 number-one country hits, released 41 studio albums, and received eight Grammy Awards over the course of her five-decade career. The fourth of 12 children, Parton was raised in the small town of Sevierville, Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains – now the locale of her theme park, Dollywood – and she took this Eastern Tennessee folk influence with her to the country-pop capital of Nashville. An accomplished musician and extremely gifted songwriter, Parton wrote such classics as “I Will Always Love You,” which became a mega-hit for Whitney Houston in 1992. The biggest hit of Parton’s solo career is “9 to 5,” the title song from the 1980 film in which she starred. “Coat of Many Colors,” “Jolene,” “Kentucky Gambler,” and “Tennessee Homesick Blues” are also among Parton’s timeless classics. Nothing compares to Dolly on vinyl.
