  • Benny Goodman

Benny Goodman was often known as the “King of Swing” because of his amazing musical talent. He was not only a jazz musician but he was a clarinetist and bandleader as well. He played with many national bands in his early career and eventually went on to start his own band – The Goodman Band. His album “King Porter Stomp” as well as “Sometimes I’m Happy” made him a huge name but it was his “jitterbug” style later on that captured his fans for life. Benny Goodman later was inducted into the Down Beat Jazz Hall of Fame. You can hear his distinctive style that later influenced many other music genres on vinyl.
