In 1937 the classic film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was born, as was the soundtrack. Snow White was the first commercially issued soundtrack ever made. Although some expansions have been made, the songs are predominately from the original film and include “With a Smile and a Song,” “Whistle While You Work,” and “Some Day My Prince Will Come.” Each of these songs became a top ten hit simultaneously in February of 1938 and still remains some of the classic songs of animated movies. It goes without saying that the soundtrack to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs sounds wonderful on vinyl.
