Tommy
Tommy, a 1975 musical film, was based on The Who’s 1969 rock opera album musical by the same name. Featuring a star studded cast, the film was the first and only film to be recorded with a Quintaphonic soundtrack. The Tommy soundtrack also used an extensive amount of synthesizer sounds and was lead by many famous musicians. The song “Pinball Wizard” was the most popular song and a hit single when it was released, as was “Eyesight to the Blind” by Eric Clapton. Tommy still remains one of the highest grossing soundtracks and sounds amazing on vinyl.
