Average White Band
As a Scottish funk and R&B band, Average White Band has enjoyed much success, and they still continue to perform today. But it was their series of soul and disco hits between 1974 and 1980 that they are mostly known for. Songs like “Pick Up the Pieces” and “Put It Where You Want It” both reached number one on charts as did their albums that they were featured on. This multi-Grammy nominated band is still widely regarded as one of the most under-appreciated funk and soul bands of the last 30 years.
