    Primus is a Bay Area, California rock/metal/funk band. They are famous for the funky bass playing of frontman Les Claypool, seemingly nonsensical lyrics and song titles, and just overall weirdness. Primus has proven itself to be a highly unique band with a massive loyal following. They even perform the opening theme to “South Park”. The major musical standout in Primus is Les Claypool’s bass playing. These funky basslines are truly unique and very interesting. The best way to bring this sound alive is to hear it on vinyl.
