  • Knocked Out Loaded

Although never considered by critics to be one of Bob Dylan’s best albums, “Knocked Out Loud” did get people talking in regards to one particular song.  “Brownsville Girl”, the 11 minute epic classic, was said to be one of his best ever made up until that point.  Released in 1986, this Dylan album included a mixture of solo compositions with cover songs and three collaborations that were decidedly Dylan as he used to be.  Rather depressing in nature, as were many of his songs, “Knocked Out Loaded” included tracks with Kris Kristofferson and Tom Petty, one of which “Got My Mind Made Up” was recorded on a 1 day break in the Tom Petty and Bob Dylan tour.  All in all, these are rarely heard songs but ones that can be appreciated due to his more classic singing and production style.
