Grand Funk Railroad is an American rock band that was highly popular during the 1970’s and has sold over 25 million records during the their time. In 1970 alone they had four RIAA gold albums, the most for any American group that year. Although critics usually had a lot to say about them, the audiences loved their fun music as heard in their hit song “The Loco-Motion.” Finally though after the release of their album “We’re an American Band” they received the critical acclaim they were searching for when it hit number one in 1973. Listening to Grand Funk Railroad today on vinyl brings you right back to the time when their music was heard all over the airways.
