    • The Doors

    The Doors’ eponymous debut album was released in 1966 and is considered by many to be their best. The album features classic tracks such as “Light My Fire”, “Break on through”, “The End”, and the Willie Dixon cover “Back Door Man”. While the single “Light My Fire” made it to #1 on the US charts, the album itself peaked at #2. Despite the initial controversy and censorship issues surrounding tracks like “Light My Fire” and “The End”, the album is perhaps best remembered as one of the most important trend setters in Rock & Roll. In Rolling Stone magazine’s list of 500 greatest albums of all time, “The Doors” was ranked #42.
