It’s Only Rock N Roll
The Rolling Stones’ It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll album was released in October 1974 and features the popular songs, “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll, Time Waits for No One, and Ain’t Too Proud to Beg.” It was the last Stones album guitarist Mick Taylor played on and the first one produced under the Glimmer Twins moniker. The album was originally conceived as a half-live, half-studio effort with one side featuring live performances and the other composed of cover versions of the band’s favorite songs. The album is rock oriented and it topped US charts peaked at number 2 in UK.
It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll was originally released on Rolling Stones/Atlantic and was produced by the Glimmer Twins (Jagger and Richards). The album also featured Ray Cooper and Billy Preston.
