Out Of Our Heads
The Rolling Stones released Out Of Our Heads in the US in July 1965 and in the UK in September, as their third UK and fourth US album. The versions differed in album covers and in track listing. The American version featured the smash hit “Satisfaction,” which went to number one as a single in the US and UK. “The Last Time, and Play With Fire” were also released as US singles, while “Heart of Stone, and I’m Free” were popular British tracks. The album consisted mostly of cover songs with a few Jagger/Richards originals. The album peaked at number 2 in the UK and 1 in the US, making it the band’s first number one American album. Out Of our Heads was produced by Andrew Loog Oldham and originally released on Decca in the UK and London in the US. In 2002 both version of the album were reissued and remastered by ABKCO Records.
