  • Sticky Fingers

The Rolling Stones released Sticky Fingers in April 1971 and it quickly became a classic with songs such as “Brown Sugar, Wild Horses, Bitch, and Can’t You Hear Me Knocking.” It was also famous for its cover of a pair of jeans and a working zipper. It was the Stones’ first album on Rolling Stones Records and also guitarist Mick Taylor’s first full-length appearance on a Stones album. The recording featured guest appearances from Pete Townshend, Ry Cooder, Ronnie Lane, and Billy Preston, among others. Sticky Fingers reached number one in the UK and US, and “Brown Sugar” also topped the US single charts. The album was re released in the 1980s and 90s by CBS and Virgin. It was recorded between 1969 and 1971 by producer Jimmy Miller.
