    Tattoo you was the last American #1 album by The Rolling Stones. The multi-platinum record was released in 1981 and was an instant success both with fans and the critics. The album mostly features outtakes along with a couple of new songs. Despite its long recording period, it is considered one of the Rolling Stones’ best records. With tracks such as “Tops”, “Waiting for a Friend” (both cut during the early 70s) and two new songs, “Neighbors” and “Heaven”, the album is a great mix of rock & roll and ballads. “Start Me Up”, the first single from the record, rocketed to the top 10 and helped the album reach the #1 spot in the US and #2 in the UK.
