  • Warren Haynes

Rock and blues guitarist Warren Haynes has been credited for putting the fire back in the Allman Brothers Band. The second replacement for Duane Allman, Haynes joined the re-formed group for its reunion tour in 1989 and went on to contribute to three of their albums: Seven Turns, Shades of Two Worlds, and the live disc An Evening with the Allman Brothers Band. He and bassist Allen Woody went on to form the Cream-influenced side project Gov’t Mule in the ’90s. In addition to his live work with the Dead and the Dave Matthews Band, Haynes continues to release his own solo albums, his latest an album of soul and R&B songs recorded at Willie Nelson’s Pedernales Studio and released on Stax Records.
