Fronted by Maynard James Keenan, Tool is a prog-rock/heavy-metal band that rose to prominence in 1993 with the release of its debut album, Undertow, and the music video for the single “Sober.” The band continued to produce compelling albums (and music videos) with 1996’s Aenima, 2001’s Lateralus, and 2006’s 10,000 Days. Tool’s art-rock aesthetic and dark, edgy sound doesn’t get any better than on vinyl.
